Theological Statement

Our commitment to biblical truth, theological integrity, and serving the global body of Christ

Last Updated: November 15, 2025

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

— 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)

1. Our Foundation and Mission

SermonAssist Pro was created by a pastor for pastors. Our founder, with 27 years of ministry experience including 20 years as a bi-vocational senior pastor and a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary, understands both the challenges of sermon preparation and the sacred responsibility of handling God's Word faithfully.

Our mission is simple: to equip pastors with AI-powered tools that honor biblical truth and enhance spiritual impact, while never compromising theological integrity.

2. Core Theological Convictions

SermonAssist Pro is built upon historic Christian orthodoxy. We affirm the following essential Christian beliefs:

2.1 The Authority and Inspiration of Scripture

We believe the Bible (66 books of the Old and New Testaments) is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. Scripture is our supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice.

"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." - Psalm 119:105

2.2 The Nature of God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God, co-equal and co-eternal, yet there is one God.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." - Matthew 28:19

2.3 Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father's right hand, and His personal return in power and glory.

"For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form." - Colossians 2:9

2.4 Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Human beings are sinful by nature and by choice, separated from God and unable to save themselves. Only through Jesus Christ's sacrificial death and resurrection can we be reconciled to God.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9

2.5 The Church

We believe in the universal Church, the body of Christ, consisting of all who have been born again through faith in Jesus Christ. The Church is called to proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and serve as God's redemptive presence in the world.

"For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink." - 1 Corinthians 12:13

2.6 The Resurrection and Eternal Life

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved to eternal life with God, and the lost to eternal separation from God.

"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die." - John 11:25

3. Our Theological Approach

3.1 Biblical Fidelity

Every aspect of SermonAssist Pro is designed to support faithful, biblical preaching. Our Solomon AI engine is trained exclusively on:

What We Do NOT Include:

  • Content from groups that deny essential Christian doctrines
  • Materials from movements outside historic Christian orthodoxy
  • Theological perspectives that contradict the core beliefs outlined above
  • Eisegetical approaches that impose meaning onto Scripture rather than drawing meaning from it

3.2 Denominational Awareness

We recognize and celebrate the diversity within the body of Christ. SermonAssist Pro serves pastors across the denominational spectrum, including:

While we maintain clear boundaries around essential Christian doctrine, we respect the various traditions and interpretations that exist within the broader evangelical and orthodox Christian community. Our tools are designed to assist pastors in their sermon preparation while honoring their denominational distinctives.

3.3 Theological Boundaries

While we serve pastors across denominational lines, we maintain firm theological boundaries to ensure biblical integrity. We have deliberately chosen not to include resources from:

These boundaries are not meant to judge individual believers but to maintain the theological clarity necessary for faithful biblical preaching.

4. Our Commitment to Pastors

4.1 Supporting, Not Replacing

SermonAssist Pro is designed to support your ministry, not replace your pastoral calling. We believe that:

4.2 Theological Accuracy

We are committed to providing theologically sound resources. While no AI system is perfect, we:

4.3 Ongoing Accountability

We believe in transparency and accountability. Our theological statement is reviewed annually and updated as needed to reflect our commitment to biblical truth. We welcome questions, concerns, and feedback from the pastors we serve.

5. Our Prayer for You

As you use SermonAssist Pro in your ministry, our prayer for you echoes the words of the Apostle Paul:

"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."

— 2 Timothy 2:15 (NIV)

We are grateful for the privilege of partnering with you in the vital work of proclaiming God's Word. May the Lord bless your ministry and use your faithful preaching to draw people to Himself, build up His Church, and advance His Kingdom.
